I went down to the Motor City Casino as a volunteer for The Heat And Warmth (THAW) fund radiothon. It is anticipated that almost one million dollars was raised from this two-day effort, with donations continuing to come in all day today. I was actually on TV for a quick segment this morning, during the local Fox 2 newscast from the radiothon.

The money raised is used to help low-income people pay their heating bill in the winter - especially important now with all the job losses in the auto industry here.

I was stationed at the table at the top left, taking calls between 9am and 12:30pm. Afterwards they gave us goodie bags.
