Today I learned that in a pinch, it is NOT ok to use a teaspoon of dishwashing soap in the dishwasher. Wow. Felt like a scene from Brady Bunch!

Hah! I learned this way back in the 70's, when I saw something white as big as a football float past my window. I looked out and saw my neighbor (his wife was in the hospital, just having had their baby) sweeping huge billows of soap out of his back door! Half his patio was covered in white. He looked at me, as I was falling on the floor laughing, and with the most serious face said, "Never, Never, Not Ever use Joy in the dishwasher!"
You will only do this once...
