Well two things happened today. We got into the 20s, and the sun came out for a short time this afternoon (before turning to snow showers). After having so much snow on our rooftops for so long, Ice Dams have built up. The radiant heat from the house melts the snow, which slides to the edge of the roof, where it refreezes as it is no longer getting the heat. This leads to pretty icicles, but also to very alarming-sized ice dams. I might have to get up on a ladder and chisel some away!
